Add the servers node_name to the /etc/hosts file. The
node_name must match the name entered in the printcap file
in step 1.
For example:
138.239.111.111 node_name
Be sure that node_name is the same name you entered in
the /etc/printcap file in step 1.
Update the DNS database instead of /etc/hosts if the
system uses a Domain Name Service.

Start the printer queue by entering:
lpc start printer_name

To print via the spooler, use the command:
lpr -P printer_name file_name
Refer to your host system documentation for a list of spooler
commands.
