Removing the display

Prerequisites

NOTE: These instructions are applicable only for laptops with a non-

touch screen display.

1 Remove the battery.

2 Follow the procedure from step 1 to step 3 in “Removing the optical

drive”.

3 Remove the keyboard.

4 Follow the procedure from step 1 to step 5 in “Removing the base cover”.

5 Follow the procedure from step 1 to step 3 in “Removing the hard drive”.

6 Remove the memory module.

7 Remove the wireless card.

8 Remove the I/O board.

9 Remove the heat sink.

10 Remove the system board.

Procedure

1 Remove the screws that secure the display hinges to the palm-rest

assembly and open the hinges to an angle of 90 degrees.

2 Note the antenna cable routing and remove the cable from its routing

guides on the palm-rest assembly.
