4. For your safety we recommend you DO NOT remove any door hardware. Instead cut retainer to account for any obstructions, as
shown:
5A. Apply WD-40, silicone spray, or dish soap, into the brush & T-Rubber channels.
5B. Feed T-Rubber into mounted retainers until leading edge aligns with mounted retainer end. A little over 4 feet of rubber should now
be hanging out of the retainer.
5C. Feed Brush Seal into retainer until it also lines up with far edge of retainer. About 4 feet of brush should be left hanging from
mounted retainer:
7. Take the loose retainer and cut to fit remaining space. Lubricate channels, as before. Carefully, feed the T-Rubber and Brush Seal
into the retainer, pulling the retainer & seals “together”, until “loose” retainer sits flush against mounted retainer:
9. Cut off excess T-Rubber and Brush using heavy duty scissors (shears).
10. Mount final retainer to door.
Upon completion remove securing clamps, re-engage & plug in automatic garage door opener. SAFETY REVERSE AND
TRAVEL OF THE GARAGE DOOR OPENER MUST BE TESTED. Refer to door opener manual for proper procedures or contact
a qualified door agency for service.
