Intended use The X4-TECH BobbyJoey CD is designed to play audio-CDs in indoor environments. With the two included microphones the voices of your children can be amplified and output through the speakers – together with the music played.

Power supply a. Battery operation 7 Open the battery compartment by loosen the screw on the cover and remove the cover. Insert 4x 1.5 V Type-C Batteries (not included in delivery). Make sure to follow the polarity markings inside the battery compartment. • • • • • • • • • Never mix old and new batteries. Never mix rechargeable batteries with other types of batteries. Never mix different types of batteries. Always remove used batteries. Non-rechargeable batteries must not be recharged.
This device may only be connected to a 6 V, 5W AC/DC adaptor with negative pole at the inner conductor of the plug. The usage of other kinds of power adaptors may damage the device. Make sure the power supply plugs polarity corresponds with the input jacks on the device.
General operating instructions On/Off 8 Switch the unit on by turning the OFF.VOL-knop (see 6.17) clockwise. On the display (see 6.1) „- -„ will be displayed. To turn the unit off, turn the knob counter-clockwise until it snaps. The display will turn off. Volume Turn the OFF.VOL-knop (see 6.17) clockwise to raise the volume. Turn it counter-clockwise to lower the volume. CD playback 1. Switch the unit on by turning the OFF.VOL-knob (see 6.17) clockwise. 2. Open the CD door (see 6.
1. S elect the track in the playback, stop or pause mode with B.SKIP (see 6.10) or F.SKIP (see 6.11) and start the playback with PLAY/PAUSE (see 6.9). 2. Pressing briefly on F.SKIP (see 6.11) you can skip to the next track. Pressing this button repeatedly, you can skip several tracks until the desired track number is shown on the display. 3. Pressing briefly on B.SKIP (see 6.10) you will return to the beginning of the current track. 4. To skip back multiple tracks, press B.SKIP (see 6.10) repeatedly.
Program playback Up to 20 tracks can be programmed to be played in a specific order. 1. P ress PROGRAM (see 6.13) once while in playback or stop mode. „00“ on the display and also the Program-LED (see 6.2) will be flashing. 2. Select the desired track with B.SKIP (see 6.10) or F.SKIP (see 6.11). 3. Store the track with PROGRAM (see 6.13). The program number will be increased by one and shown on the display for a short period of time. 4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 to program up to 20 tracks. 5.
6. Now you can start singing into the microphone together with the music from CD. Take care that you don’t place the microphone too close to the speaker – otherwise an acoustic feedback (whistling from the speakers) can happen. Public announcements No CD necessary. Just talk into the microphone and the voice will be returned amplified by the device. 1. Just turn the device on by the OFF.VOL-knob without an inserted CD. 2. Slide the ON/OFF-button (see 6.5) on the microphone to the ON position. 3.
Maintenance and cleaning Cleaning the device 9 Pull the power plug before cleaning the device. Wipe the enclosure periodically with a duster. Never use chemicals or scrubbing agents for cleaning. If an optional power supply is used, the device must be disconnected from the power outlet before cleaning. Handling CDs Do not touch the playback side of discs. Hold by the edges without touching the recording surface, so that finger prints do not come in contact with discs.
