20 • Processing and creating fi lm thickness objects
20.6 Sending fi lm thickness objects
In the Database: Film thickness objects window you can select one or
more fi lm thickness objects and send them by email by then clicking on
Send. Please note Section 3.6.4 “Email”.
20.7 Exporting fi lm thickness objects
1. Click in the Database menu on Film thickness objects.
2. Click in the Database: Thickness object entry window
on the fi lm thickness object which you want to export.
If you want to export several fi lm thickness objects together, keep the
CTRL key pressed down and then click on the fi lm thickness objects to
be exported. These are written to the same fi le when exported.
3. Click on Export. The Export to fi le window appears.
In the File name fi eld a designation is suggested, consisting of the fi lm
thickness object designation and the tag .iftx, if you have selected a single
fi lm thickness object or *.iftx, if you have selected several fi lm thickness
objects. In this case you must enter a designation instead of the *.
4. Select the drive and the directory to which the fi le should be written.
5. Click on OK. The data is converted to ASCII format and written
to the appropriate fi le.
20.8 Importing fi lm thickness objects
1. Click in the Database menu on Film thickness objects.
2. Click on Import. The Import fi le window appears.
3. Select the drive and the directory to which you want to import the fi le.
All *.iftx fi les are displayed in the selected directory.
4. Select the required fi le.
5. Click on OK. The Confi rm import window appears.
6. Confi rm the import by clicking on OK. The name of the fi lm thickness
object to be imported appears in the list in the Database: fi lm thickness
objects window.
