WyreStorm HD Test Equipment
The WyreStorm test range has been developed to assist commercial and residential integrators with the ability to diagnose AV systems and
digital connectivity on installations. A particularly useful tool for assessing existing cabling prior to installation.

monitor to assist integrators with simple testing
of extenders and receivers the internal wiring as
part of trouble shooting and site surveys.

2) Keep the cables as far away as possible from
potentialsourcesofEMI(Electricalcables,
transformers, light fixtures etc). Cables should
haveatleast12”separationfrompowercables.
3) Our products are specified to perform on either
Cat5e UTP, however we recommend for best
performance, cabling with cat6.
4) Make only gradual bends in the cable where
necessary to maintain minimum bend radius.
Don’t forget, with 1080P signals, the cable will
be passing up to 10.2Gb/s so cable tolerance is
essential.
5) Always ensure that external receivers are fixed
using the fitting brackets provided. Particularly
importantwhenmountingaroundadjustable
brackets.
6) Dress the cables using low to moderate pressure
to ensure smooth signal transmission.
7) Always label cable runs to ensure ease of
maintenance in trouble shooting.
8) Leave extra slack behind walls to ensure cables
are not taught.
9) When working with existing wiring in a property,
look to use extender sets together with the
WyreStorm test equipment to ensure you can
achieve full signal transmission to each location.
10)IftestingwithextendersshowsupIRcontrolour
screen resolution issues with standard transmitters
and receivers, look to try the HDBaseT models that
have extra distance capability and built in filtering
againstEMIandaccessallsortsofmultimedia
content, such as video, pictures and music stored
around the house.
