1200 – VFR Code for any altitude
7500 - Hijack Mode
7600 – Loss of Communications
7700 – Emergency (received by secondary
surveillance radio sites at all times.
Note: 7500, 7600, and 7700 Codes are
annunciated with a red background as they
indicate a critical condition. Refer to the
Federal Aviation Regulation, Airman’s
Information Manual (FAR-AIM) for a complete
description of special ATC Codes.
