Input Hardware Connection
Examples following describe how to connect external devices to the MReX input/output pins.
Input Example 1:
Switch connected directly to an MReX input with ESD varistor. Other ESD protection methods are
permissible, but should follow accepted normal guidelines taking into account the likelihood of ex-
posure to ESD events.
ESD typical device should clamp at approximately 5Vdc.
Input Example 2:
Inputs are driven high or low from an external source. Inputs will tolerate a maximum of 3.3Vdc as
a high input level. The external driving source must have a 0V GND common to the MReX.
