Glossary
SKBD: Secured Keyboard. This is an internal abbreviation
for the combination of the keypad, the security ASIC
(internal name = 'Bonny'), the secured memory,... The
SKBD deals with all the security aspects of a payment
transaction: PIN verification, encryption, MAC-ing,...
ARM: Advanced Risc Machines = commercial company that
sells "softcores" (RISC processors) and peripherals
(UART's, data buses, chipcard controllers, softmodems,
memory,...). With these 'building blocks' you can define/
manufacture your own specific chip: an ASIC. (for more
