SPECIFICATIONS Model Number: LB12AEO Description: With 2 different length adjustments and 5 different lift points, this option enables the lifter operator to tailor the hang angle precisely for the intended use of an MRTA6 vacuum lifter. A different hang angle may be desirable, depending on the angle that the operator needs, in order to attach the lifter to a load, release the load or manipulate the load during a lift.
OPERATING FEATURES A) RETRACTED LENGTH B) EXTENDED LENGTH 1) ORIGINAL MRTA6 LIFT BAR 2) ADJUSTABLE LIFT BAR EXTENSION The Adjustable Lift Bar Extension (2) can be mounted in the lift bar (1) in either of two positions: The retracted length (A) aids in low-clearance applications, but prevents the MRTA6 vacuum lifter from rotating with the extension arms installed. The extended length (B) helps to minimize hang angle and allows the lifter to be rotated with extension arms installed.
INSTALLATION TO ADAPT THE ORIGINAL LIFT BAR 1) Follow the MRTA6 lifter's instruction manual to verify that the lifter is in good working order. 2) Remove the molded rubber end plug from the end of the lift bar on the vacuum lifter. 3) Using an appropriate drill and bit, drill a 17/32" hole through both ears and the tube of the lift bar at the location shown in the figure at right. Then deburr as necessary.
TO DETERMINE THE LIFT SHACKLE POSITION The lift shackle is designed to be removed and repositioned at any of 5 lift points, in order to optimize the MRTA6 lifter's hang angle for its intended use. In general, moving the lift shackle forward (away from operator position) helps to keep the hang angle vertical while the lifter is loaded; however, while unloaded, the lifter tends to hang away from the operator position.
LIMITED WARRANTY Powr-Grip products are carefully constructed, thoroughly inspected at various stages of production, and individually tested. They are warranted to be free from defects in workmanship and materials for a period of one year from the date of purchase. If a problem develops during the warranty period, follow the instructions hereafter to obtain warranty service. If inspection shows that the problem is due to defective workmanship or materials, Powr-Grip will repair the product without charge.
