General information
As soon as you’ve nished blending, turn the speed controller to the home posi-
tion, switch off the appliance using the On/Off switch (Pos.
) and unplug. Never
operate the appliance empty. Always use approx. 300 ml water or other liquid
to get a better mixture. Most ingredients/recipes can be prepared in a maximum
of 1 minute. For large volumes, especially thin uid content, it is hard to pour in
a directed manner. In this case, it is better to prepare the batch in parts. Always
move the speed controller to the home position and switch off the appliance
before removing the jug (Pos.
).
Attention! Risk of injury! Always wait for the blades to come to a standstill
before removing the lid. Do not reach into the appliance before the mains
plug has been unplugged. Completely empty the jug following use. Do not leave
any liquid in the jug.
Automatic shutdown
The machine can turn itself off automatically. The appliance turns itself off auto-
matically after 5 minutes of use. This stops the device from operating for long
periods of time unintentionally and overcooking your food in the process. Set
the speed controller to the home position to get the machine going again after
the automatic shutdown. After you have done this you can choose the speed you
want or an automatic programme.
Overload protection
The appliance is equipped with overload protection. This prevents the motor
being damaged by overloading.
If the appliance switches off during operation, proceed as follows.
▪ Move the speed controller to the home position, switch the appliance off
using the on/off button (Pos.
), unplug and leave to cool down for approx.
15-20 minutes.
▪ Remove the jug and place the drive unit to one side.
▪ Press the reset button on the bottom of the drive unit (see image). If the reset
button cannot be pressed into the appliance, let it cool down more and try
again later.
▪ Place the jug back on the drive unit, reconnect the appliance to the power
supply and continue blending.
Cleaning and care
After use, unplug the appliance and switch the on/off switch off (Pos. ). The
drive unit should never be placed in water, only wiped down with a damp cloth.
Do not use any abrasive cleaning agents. Be sure to avoid injury on the sharp
blades when cleaning the jug. Immediately after blending, ll the jug with warm
water (max. 1.0 litres) and allow the motor to run for a few seconds. Then remove
the glass jug and clean with a washing-up brush. For easy cleaning, the cap, lid
and jug can be washed in the dishwasher.
We recommend gently cleaning the closing cap, lid and jug with warm running
water. Regular washing in the dishwasher may impair the surfaces.
