Introduction to the Desktop
Toolbar
Located beneath the menu bar is a series of buttons known
as the toolbar. These buttons allow fast access to some of
the menu options. To select a toolbar option, click the
button. If you place the mouse cursor on the button, a tool
tip pops up that displays the button’s name. The following
buttons are on the toolbar:
New - Creates a new file in the selected
application.
Open - Opens a file in the selected application.
Save As - Saves the current file under a new
name or in a different format.
Print - Prints the current file.
