Part 3: The QuickLink
Desktop Application
Introduction to the QuickLink
Desktop
The QuickLink Desktop application enables you to ex-
change data between the QuickLink Pen and your computer
and to manage many of your Pen’s capabilities and features.
The Desktop makes it possible to:
• Exchange data by quicklinking (see p. 79), and store
and edit that data on your computer (see p. 101).
• Scan text directly into the Desktop or other
applications on your computer (see p. 75).
• Customize your Pen by adding and removing
components, such as applications, dictionaries, and
spellers (see p. 111). You can add components from
the QuickLink CD-ROM or from WizCom’s website
(http://www.wizcomtech.com/).
• Upgrade your Pen’s operating system (see p. 122).
• Perform a variety of other management functions, like
converting Pen data files into other file formats (see p.
102), printing Pen data files (see p. 107), rearranging
the list of applications in the Pen’s Main Menu
(see p. 119), and compacting the Pen’s file system
(see p. 119).
