center of the letters in the line of text so that the Pen
reads the text accurately.
4. When the rollers have passed the end of the first line of
text, lift the Pen off the page. The message “Reading”
appears in the display, and then the text you scanned
appears.
Step 9. Rescan Inaccurate Text (Optional)
If the scanned text contains errors and must be rescanned,
press 2 to erase it, then repeat Step 8 above. Otherwise,
advance to Step 10.
Step 10. Scan the Next Line of Text
If the scanned text is correct, repeat the scanning process in
Step 8 above. The Pen inserts a space between the two lines
you scanned.
Step 11. Saving the Note
When you have finished scanning the Note, press 3 twice
to return to the Notes Menu. To return to the Main Menu,
press 3 again. The text you have just scanned is saved on
your Pen automatically.
Tips for optimizing your scanning technique:
1. Rest the side of your hand on the scanning surface
while scanning.
2. Experiment by holding the Pen at different angles
between 75° and 90° to find the optimal angle for the
font you are scanning.
3. Experiment by changing the speed at which you roll
the Pen when you scan. Slower scanning generally
provides better results.
4. Try scanning from right to left instead of from left to
right.
