Attention:
•Theprocessofinstallinganewoperatingsystemdeletesallthedataonyourstoragedrive,includingthe
datathatwerestoredinahiddenfolder.
•IfyourcomputerisequippedwithbothaharddiskdriveandanM.2solid-statedrive,donotusetheM.2
solid-statedriveasabootabledevice.TheM.2solid-statedriveisusedfor“cache”function.
ToinstalltheWindows10operatingsystem,dothefollowing:
1.StarttheThinkPadSetupprogram.See“UsingtheThinkPadSetupprogram”onpage66.
2.SelectStartup➙BoottodisplaytheBootPriorityOrdersubmenu.
3.Selectthedrivethatcontainstheoperatingsysteminstallationprogram,forexampleUSBHDD.
4.PresstheF10keytoexittheThinkPadSetupprogram.
5.Connectthedrivethatcontainstheoperatingsysteminstallationprogramtothecomputer,andrestart
thecomputer.
6.Installthedevicedriversandnecessaryprograms.See“Installingdevicedrivers”onpage66.
7.Afterinstallingthedevicedrivers,applyWindowsUpdatetogetthelatestmodules,forexamplethe
securitypatches.
