Choosing a PoE Injector for the Device 2.6
A Power over Ethernet (PoE) injector is used to power the RXAM-JD1 Access
Point. PoE injectors used with the AP must comply with the criteria listed
below:
1. The "Data In" and "Data & Power out" ports on the injector must be
qualified as Safety Extra‐Low Voltage (SELV) circuits.
2. The circuits in the injector must have IEC 60950-1 and IEC 60950-1
Electrical Energy Source Class 1 (ES1) certification. The injector must
have a nominal output voltage of 56 Vdc and a maximal input current of
0.6 A. A statement indicating that the injector is a Limited Power Source
(LPS) rated power supply must also be indicated on the label of the PoE
injector.
The SELV ports on the injector must only be connected to other SELV (or
ES1) interfaces on other equipment.
