10.3 Topology View (Engineering)
Topology view is a graphical overview of all wireless devices within your network, including their
connection status and connection paths. The view set up in the dialog described here is shown in
Diagnosis => Wireless Communication=> Topology View, see Chapter 9.2.4.
1 Click on the Engineering > Topology View leaf to open the dialogue:
– The dialog opens with icons and long tags for Fieldgate SWG70 and all WirelessHART
devices connected to the network positioned in a blank workspace
– The significance of the parameters is described in the table below
Topology View parameters
Parameter Meaning
Select Map Uploads a map in .jpg format
Reset Zoom Resets the zoom to the minimum value
Import Uploads the current devices and positions from a CSV file
Export Stores the current devices and positions in a CSV file
Refresh Updates the information on signal quality and traffic
Zoom rider – ------------ + Increases (+) or decreases (–) the magnification of the topology view
Horizontal image origin Sets the position of the horizontal origin of the image
Vertical image origin Sets the position of the vertical origin of the image
Resolution Sets the resolution of the image
Paths shown Selects the paths to be shown in the topology view
– All: all paths are shown
– In use: only those paths used by the network are shown
– Selected: the paths associated with a device are shown when the cursor is moved to
the said device
– None: No paths are shown
