3.0 PLANNING THE INSTALLATION
3.1 Introduction
Installation should take place in an area authorized for such activity; the installer will
need to consider the location of the aircraft during the installation. The aircraft should be
located outside of the hanger for post-installation system verification to reduce the
amount of 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi interference from nearby sources and to maximize GPS
reception.
3.2 Safety Precautions, Warnings, and Advisories

OBSERVE STANDARD SAFETY PRECAUTIONS AND WEAR
SAFETY GLASSES AND OTHER PROPER SAFETY GEAR TO
PREVENT PERSONAL INJURY DURING INSTALLATIONS.
TURN OFF POWER BEFORE DISCONNECTING ANY
COMPONENT FROM WIRING. DISCONNECTING THE
COMPONENT WITHOUT TURNING POWER OFF MAY CAUSE
VOLTAGE TRANSIENTS THAT CAN DAMAGE THE
COMPONENT.
