SAFETY SUMMARY
The following general safety precautions must be observed during all phases of operation, service, and
repair of this instrument. Failure to comply with these precautions or with specic warnings elsewhere
in this manual violates safety standards of design, manufacture, and intended use of the instrument.
Wired Rite Systems assumes no liability for the customer’s failure to comply with these requirements.
SST-4 installation must be performed by appropriate qualied personnel trained for the
installation of vehicle electrical equipment and controls for engine functions.
Vehicle safety interlocks installed in vehicles must never be bypassed.
Verify that the vehicle is disabled before performing installation or maintenance procedures
with the SST-4. The battery should be disconnected to ensure that the vehicle is disabled
during installation.
Whenever performing maintenance, use only factory specied parts and replacement parts.
Always use appropriate gauge wire for the expected current and power ratings.
DO NOT SUBSTITUTE PARTS OR MODIFY circuitry. Because of the danger of
introducing additional hazards, do not install substitute parts or perform any unauthorized
modication.
Equipment that appears damaged or defective should be made inoperative and secured
against unintended operation until they can be repaired by qualied service personnel.
