A.6c Accumulator Setup
Accumulator Max:
• Default = 8. Select up to 14 sheets maximum. The 420T will shut down if
more than 14 sheets are fed into the Accumulator. This function prevents
damage to the folder.
• Enter 15 when it is not desirable to have a package split into subsets. The
420T will still shut down on the 15
th
sheet. The operator must clear the
Accumulator and manually process the package.
Accumulator Type:
• Flat: Select “Flat” when the system includes a Flat Pack Feeder (no
Folder).
• Normal: Select “Normal” when the system includes a
Folder/Accumulator.
First Page Hold:
• Point: Relative number for the position where sheets stop on the
Accumulator ramps. Starting point for the Vacuum Feeder is “26”,
Friction Feeder is “8”.
• Off: First Page Hold feature is disabled.
• FPH On: If the Accumulator is equipped with First Page Hold, with “FPH
On” selected the first document of a package is held on the Accumulator
Ramps while the previous package is released to the Folder. This results
in higher throughput as the time for the sheet being held at First Page
Hold to reach the Accumulator is reduced. Adjust “Point” value to adjust
stopping point of document on the Ramps.
