A.6b Feeder Setup
Double Detect Select:
• Select to have the 420T detect double feeds. Indicate Optical or
Ultrasonic.
• Deselect if paper stock is causing false double detects.
Pulse Feed:
• Deselect to engage clutch for the entire pack: a.k.a. “Stream Feed
mode.” When selected, the feeder will place a larger gap between
the sheets by turning on and off for each page.
Page End:
• Clutch is off at lead edge of page, on again at trail edge of page.
Timed:
• (Default) “Timed Off to On” and “Timed On to Off” must be set when using
this option. Once the clutch is activated and the document is fed, by
default it is turned off when the lead edge of the document is detected by
the feed sensor. These timed settings vary how long the clutch stays off
and how long it stays on.
Read:
• Clutch is off at lead edge of page, on after read received.
Timed Off to On (Extended Clutch Off Time)
• Use when “Timed” is selected.
• When set to “0” the clutch activates when the trailing edge of the
document is detected by the feed sensor. Increasing this setting
increases the time the clutch remains off.
• The higher the number, the larger the gap between sheets.
Timed On to Off (Extended Clutch On Time):
• Use when “Timed” is selected
• The clutch is deactivated at the lead edge of the document when this is
set to “0”, increasing this setting extends the time the clutch remains on
after the lead edge is detected by the feed sensor.
Feeder Type:
• Friction or Vacuum (default)
Used with read as a minimum clutch OFF time. (31264.002 >)
