D.6 Line Code Read Card

This card is mounted separate from the rest of the computer but is
connected with cables. The read card is used for both GBR Line Code and
Bowe Bell & Howell Line Code. The difference is the software to perform the
read criteria.
D.6a Two Channel Switching Card
Allows two read systems to be connected to the system at the same time.
Usually one read system is installed on the left side of the Feeder and the
other is installed on the right side. One of which will be reading the code on
the pages from the bottom and the other will be reading the code on the top
of the page. This depends of course how the pages are made up, but it is a
very flexible system to aid in setup speed. The operator selects which read
system (Probe A or B, left or right) is required. The selection is made
through the “Line Read Setup 0” screen.
