GBR438/420T – Read End Of Set Operational Summary v2
Overview
When accumulating variable page count sets, coding in the read system,
Barread(or camera) or Lineread, must indicate when the set is complete,
the last page has been fed.
This is called End Of Set, End Of Group(EOG), End Of Collation(EOC) or
Demand Feed(DF).
Common Demand Feed:
Normal
A Bit or Mark only set on the last page fed.
EOG Mark At defines where the Demand Feed mark is.
Reverse
A Bit or Mark only NOT set on the last page fed. All other pages marked.
EOG Mark At defines where the Demand Feed mark is.
Lineread Demand Feed:
Yes/No
Two marks required to end the set is more secure.
A ‘Yes’ Mark only set on the last page fed.
And a ‘No’ Mark NOT set on the last page fed. All other pages marked.
Only one mark can be set on any page.
Both marks set or both marks not set flags an error.
EOG Mark At defines where the ‘Yes’ Demand Feed mark is.
NOT EOG Mark At defines where the ‘No’ Demand Feed mark is.
First Page
This is used to reverse feed, Z to A, a ‘normally’ encoded A to Z
stream(Demand Feed EOG mark on last page fed with Page Sequence
1, 2, 3 . . .)
Requires Page Sequence set to Down.
Page Sequence Mark Setup defines where the Page Sequence marks
are.
When Page Sequence Down reaches ‘Min’, ‘1’ or ‘0’, this is the last page
fed and ends the set.
Demand Feed First Page with Page Sequence Down requires a Demand
Feed Mark on the FIRST page fed as a check.(“EXPECTED END OF
GROUP”).
