Before sevicing the engine,
read the warnings in the
“Safe Working" section of this
Handbook.
Air Filter
The Air Filter is located beside the engine.
During operation dust collects in the base
cup (1) which also contains the baffle (2).
The element (6) is held in the main body
by a wing nut (4).
At the end of each shift or working day in
dusty conditions, the element, base cup
and baffle should be removed, inspected
and emptied of dust .
Releasing the wing nut or clamp at the
base of the air filter allows removal of the
base cup assembly and gives access to
the filter element.
The air filter element should be replaced
every 300 operating hours or every three
months.

Every 300 hours:
Change oil filter element as follows:
The materials used in the
manufacture and treatment of
some filters and elements
may cause irritation or
discomfort if they come into
contact with the eyes or
mouth and they may give off
toxic gases if they are bumt.
Using a suitable strap wrench, unscrew
and remove the old filter (A).
Do not attempt to clean the old filter!
Dispose of it safely.
