The B 40 is engineered for a more efficient use of resources.
Kärcher’s Intelligent Key (KIK) system enables the facility man-
ager to create a unique cleaning profile, making it easier to
train users and operate the scrubber. The KIK system can be
used to set varying levels of authorized access by means of
three color-coded keys: yellow, grey, and red; for operators,
facility managers and technicians, respectively. Facility man-
agers can set parameters such as travel speed, brush speed,
motor output or cleaning agent dosage to suit the needs of
the cleaning task. An operator’s key carries out the pre-deter-
mined settings, needing only to select their desired cleaning
program from a rotary switch. As a result, only the required
amount of energy and cleaning agent is used. This system
practically eliminates operating errors.

Key function security
The KIK system offers substantially better security against erroneous opera-
tion. It is not possible for the operator to adjust the basic presets on the
machine which were previously set or released by the super visor for the
cleaning job or object in question. The operator only needs to insert the
key. Only the coded key pertaining to the machine allows the machine to
be started up, and is therefore a technical solution to un authorized opera-
tion.
For even more security, all B 40 C/W machines have clearly labelled, quick,
easy and intuitive menus. The menus can be set to many dif ferent
languages.

Slimline and in great shape
With its slimline design, the B 40 C/W can cope with crooked objects
and narrow passageways with ease. The asymmetric shape of the tank
ensures excellent visibility of the brush head.

Correctly charged
The charging curve of the standard built-in charger can be adjusted to
the various battery types and capacities. This protects the batteries and
ensures long running periods and a long service life.

Quiet, strong and efficient
The option of slightly reducing the suction power and in turn the noise
level by up to 4 dB(A) in the eco!efficiency setting, makes the B 40 C/W
also ideal for cleaning in sensitive areas. Features include a powerful
battery for uninterrupted, efficient maintenance cleaning.
