Measuring the square footage of your space is an important part of buying a window AC
(although, it’s not the only factor as you’ll see).
We’ve outlined the easiest ways to measure sq. ft. to make things a little easier:
Sq. ft. = length x width
If you have a tape measure handy:

A = L x W
A = A1 + A2
L

A1 = L x W
L

A2 = L x W
If you don’t have a tape measure:
L
W
A = L x W
If you measure your shoe,
you can easily walk out the L and W.
If your shoe is 12 inches, or around
there, each step would be a foot.
