Host Character Time-out
Parameter # EFh
This parameter determines the maximum time the decoder waits between characters
transmitted by the host before discarding the received data and declaring an error. The
time-out is set in 0.01 second increments from 0.01 seconds to 0.99 seconds. After
scanning the bar code below, scan two bar codes beginning on page 7-143 to set the
desired time-out. To change the selection or to cancel an incorrect entry, scan the Cancel
bar code on page 7-145.

Event Reporting
The host can request the decoder to provide certain information (events) relative to the
decoder’s behavior. Enable or disable the events listed in Table 7-3 by scanning the
appropriate bar codes on the following pages. Parameter number format for these
parameters follows those shown in the Simple Serial Interface (SSI) Programmer’s Guide
for parameters numbered 256 or higher.
