UPC/EAN Security Level

The MS-320x offers four levels of decode security for UPC/EAN bar codes. Select higher
levels of security for decreasing levels of bar code quality. Increasing security decreases
the scanner’s aggressiveness, so choose only that level of security necessary for the
application.
UPC/EAN Security Level 0
This default setting allows the scanner to operate in its most aggressive state, while
providing sufficient security in decoding “in-spec” UPC/EAN bar codes.

UPC/EAN Security Level 1
Select this option if misdecodes occur. This security level eliminates most misdecodes.
