Inserting an ID card
When you insert an ID card, you should make sure that the magnetic
stripe is in the correct position.
The ID card unit cannot read the ID card information correctly, unless
you insert the ID card into the ID card unit as described below.
Insert the ID card into the ID card unit as
shown in the picture.
How the hybrid DIP reader works
Depending on the application software, the magnetic tracks are read
either when the ID card is inserted or when it is pulled out (reading on
insertion is the standard).
Therefore, it is important that the ID card is pushed in and pulled out in
one smooth motion.
If the chip card function is used, the card is automatically locked in the
insertion slot and released after processing is completed.
The meaning of the LED indicator above the card insertion slot is
defined via the application software. Therefore it cannot be described in
this manual.
The module is designed in such a way that inserted foreign bodies
(coins, for example) can fall directly through the insertion slot to the
bottom of the device.
