Cleaning the document detection sensor
Care and cleaning
Printer malfunctions may also be caused by dust on the document detecti-
on sensor. For this reason, it is important to clean the sensor at regular
intervals.
We recommend to clean the sensor every 2 months or after every 10
receipt rolls. The sensor should be cleaned immediately if the following
printer malfunctions occur:
The system detects a document although no document has been
inserted.
The journal station outputs an error when a receipt/journal is printed,
although there is still enough paper in the journal tray and no appa-
rent paper jam in the printer. The error message is based on the
above-stated point, as journal printing is not possible as a result.
Clean the sensor as described below. If the malfunction is still not correc-
ted, contact your WN branch office.
