About this manual
This manual describes the modular POS system BEETLE /M-II with a
Pentium- M/Celeron- M processor.
This documentation is intended to help you work with the POS system and
to serve as a reference work. The detailed table of contents help you find
the desired information quickly and easily.
The first section describes

everything you need to do before switching on the POS system and how
to connect peripherals to the BEETLE /M-II.
The second section contains

a brief overview of the components of your BEETLE POS system. Here,
you will also find a detailed description of recurring actions.
The Appendix

contains the most important technical data and a glossary.

This symbol is used for warnings.
The type and scope of application programs depend on the customer’s own
selection; therefore, software will not be discussed further in this manual.
You will find a description of the BIOS Setup and the Central Processing
Unit in a separate manual (“POS Motherboard with Pentium- MCPU”), which
you can find under www.wincor-nixdorf.com.
Care of the BEETLE /M-II
Clean your BEETLE /M-II at regular intervals with a suitable plastic-surface
cleaner which can be ordered from Wincor Nixdorf International GmbH.
Make sure that the power plug is disconnected and that no liquid finds its
way into the device.
