BA83 User Manual
Modus
Keyboard and MSR may have two different states:
“Default” This is the default state of keyboard and MSR, codes are
assigned by firmware
“Programmed” In this case a table has been sent to keyboard or even
MSR
Creating Tables
Tables can be created and sent / received using KbUtiUSB under Windows
or WNLPOS.
At first a configuration has to be defined consisting of:
Kind of level handling to be provided for keyboard
The number of levels to be supported for keyboard
The target keyboard language
The type of the target device (here: BA8X keyboard)
Definition of codes is easy, as a Virtual Keyboard is used to define them.
There is no need to worry about codes, key symbols, syntax, etc. Just press
the keys of the Virtual Keyboard to get the codes or code strings entered.
There is provision of the differences between a US keyboard (101 keys) or
other keyboard (102 keys).
Assigned codes can be viewed one by one or the table as a whole. This in-
formation can also be written to a text file for documentation.
