bolt handle, and bolt body will now come apart
(Figure 6).
2. Clean all bolt parts thoroughly, dry all parts, then
lubricate with a non-petroleum based gun oil.
3. Reassemble bolt body, bolt handle, striker, and spring
(Figure 7).
4. Move bolt to the uncocked position (Figure 8).
5. Place the bolt cap back over the spring. While
pressing the spring downward, screw the bolt cap on
to the bolt body.
6. Holding the bolt cap securely with the allen wrench,
twist the bolt handle counter clockwise to the
cocked position.
7. Return bolt to receiver as described in Installation of
Bolt Section.
GENERAL CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Note: Verify that gun is unloaded before beginning this
procedure by placing the ramrod down the barrel until it
touches the breech plug. If gun is unloaded, the end of
the ramrod should be flush with the crown of the muzzle.
If rod extends beyond the crown of the muzzle, assume
the rifle is loaded and that it should be unloaded before
proceeding.
