INSTALLATION OF BOLT
1. With the Bolt Assembly in the cocked position, align
the bolt assembly in the same position as when
removed in Figure 3. Using the thumb, push forward
on the Bolt Cap, past the initial resistance, until the
Bolt Assembly stops (Figure 4).
2. Cycle the Bolt Handle up, as per arrow “C”, then
forward, as per arrow “D” (Figure 5).

BOLT ACTION DISASSEMBLY/ASSEMBLY
Some metal parts of your new Winchester muzzleloader
have been coated at the factory with a rust preventative
oil. It is extremely important to thoroughly clean all
metal parts before using.
Note: The Bolt Assembly must be removed before
beginning this process. See previous section for removal
instructions.
1. Using the allen wrench provided, unscrew the bolt
cap by turning counterclockwise. The spring, striker,
