The rebounding hammer is a safety
designed to protect the firing pin from
being struck by the hammer when the trig-
ger is not being pulled. The rebound
position and the manual hammer stop are
intended to provide protection against
unintentional or accidental firing.
In order to fire your Lever Action Rifle it is
necessary for the finger lever to depress the
trigger stop (Figure 1A3). The tngger stop IS
not a safety but an Interlock to assure that
the breech IS fully closed before a cartndge
can be discharged. Do not rely on the
tngger stop to prevent accidental
discharge.
WARNING - As is true with other
firearms. the safety mechanism when it is
engaged IS designed to prevent accidental
discharge. However. this mechanism will
not necessanly prevent the accidental
discharge of this firearm as a result of Jar-
ring or abuse such as occurs when a
firearm is dropped.

IMPORTANT - Clean the inside of the
barrel and chamber to remove all grease
and other possible obstructions before
firing your gun.
HOW TO LOAD - Use the correct
ammunition referenced by the inscription
on the barrel. Before loading your gun be
sure all grease and oil has been removed
from the barrel and chamber, and there is
no obstruction. The chamber may be
loaded by placing a cartridge directly into
the chamber through the opened action
(Figure 4), or by transferring a cartridge that
was previously loaded into the magazine
(Figure 5) to the chamber by operating the
finger lever. In either case, always place the
manual hammer stop In the "on" position
(Figure 2), and the hammer into the safety
(rebound), position upon closing the action
(Figure 3 position B).
La position de sOrete du "rebondi" a pour
objet d'empecher Ie chien de venir frapper Ie
percuteur quand on n'appuie pas sur la
detente. Cette position de sOrete ainsi que
I'arretoir manuel du chien sont prevus pour
eviter un coup de feu involontaire ou
accidentel.
Pour pouvoir tirer, il faut que Ie levier
presse sur I'arret de la detente (3, Fig. 1A).
Cet arret n'est pas une sOrete, mais un
arretolr qUI assure que la culasse est
comph~tement fermee avant qu'une car-
touche so It tiree. Ne comptez pas
cependant sur cet arret pour eviter un coup
de feu accldentel.
ATTENTION - Comme dans toute arme a
feu. Ie mecanisme de sOrete, lorsqu'il est
engage. a pour but d'empecher un tlr
accidentel. Cependant, ce mecanisme ne
suffit pas a empecher une decharge
causee par un choc violent ou par la chute
de votre carablne.
IMPORTANT - Avant d'utiliser votre
carabine, nettoyez bien I'interieur du canon
et de la chambre afin d'enlever tout trace
de graisse et autres matieres 4ui pourraient
causer une obstruction.
COMMENT CHARGER VOTRE CARABINE

Employez touJours des munitions du
calibre qui est indique sur Ie canon de la
carabine meme. Avant de charger la
carabine, assurez-vous que Ie canon et la
chambre sont propres, sans graisse nl
huile. et sans obstruction.. La chambre peut
etre chargee en placant une car touche
directement dans la chambre lorsque Ie
mecanisme est ouvert (Fi9'
4) ou en
transferant a la chambre a I'aide du levier
de sous-garde une cartouche emmagasinee
auparavant (Fig. 5), Dans les deux cas.
apres avoir ferme I'action. engagez
toujours I'arretoir manuel du chien (Fig. 2)
et mettez Ie chien en position de sOrete du
"rebondi" (mi-arme) (position B, Fig. 3).
