To Install a Vent Extension Kit
1. Refer to your OWNERS MANUAL and perform the installation steps “Find the Studs”, “Cut Vent Opening”, and “Install Spacer
Plate”.
2. Measure thru the 9 inch diameter hole to determine dimension “X”. (Note dimension “X” is the thickness of the wall)
3. Calculate the proper tube lengths from the appropriate model group as follows:
MODELS - 9301 Flue Tube Extension A – Add 2” to dimension “X”
9302 Air Inlet Tube B – Add 3/4” to dimension “X”
9303 Air Inlet Shield C – Add 9/16” to dimension ”X”

(See Figure 1) cut lines and flanges.
5. Remove Air Inlet Tube and Flue Extension Tube from the furnace and replace them with the trimmed
tubes from your kit using the same screws.
6. Refer to OWNERS MANUAL and perform the next step, “Furnace Mounting”
7. Refer to figure 5, page 8 in your OWNERS MANUAL and to figure 1 on this sheet. From the outside, push the Air Inlet Shield “J”
over the Air Inlet Tube “C”. Rotate Air inlet Shield until the notches on the end of the Shield are straddling the standoff tabs on
the Mounting Spacer Plate “A”. Push the Air Inlet Tube until the notched end is resting against the screw heads holding the Air
Inlet Tube to the furnace. Tube ends should now be flush with the outside wall. If not, recheck for proper tube positions. Adjust
or trim the tubes as necessary.
