Sanitizing the interface
Four primary methods accurately depict how to remove content that is otherwise deemed
unnecessary from an interface in order to better portray the content that already exists.
Although each tends to come with a varying set of de nitions (as everyone seems to
havea di erent interpretation of its meaning), they all play an essential role in design.

Simplicity
Simplicity is one of the most fundamental aspects of a clean and e cient user experi-
ence.  e acronyms KISS (“Keep it simple, stupid!”) and YAGNI (“You ain’t gonna need
it”) explain this principle in a highly direct method. Making things overly complex irri-
tates users, and unless you genuinely need a function or a visual representation in the
