✦ Discussion Web Wizard: A wizard that leads you step by step through the
process of creating a Web site in which visitors can post questions and get
answers
✦ Empty Web: A Web site without pages
✦ Import Web Wizard: A wizard that leads you through the process of assem-
bling a Web from pages created outside of FrontPage
✦ Personal Web: A four-page Web site that works well for sharing your interests
✦ Project Web: A specialized Web site template for project managers only
✦ SharePoint Team Web: Generates an intranet portal with a schedule, a
documents library (to which participants can upload files), links, and other
office intranet goodies
The Web Site Templates list is shown in Figure 1-4.

Some of these templates are quite complex and require a fairly high level of experience
with FrontPage in order to customize. The Corporate Presence Web, the Customer
Support Web, the Discussion Web Wizard, and the Project Web include many compo-
nents that won’t work unless you have saved your site to a Web server with FrontPage
extensions (the Personal Web Server will work). Moreover, the SharePoint Team Web
requires still more server extensions —the SharePoint extensions. The Empty Web,
One Page Web, and Personal Web work well without FrontPage extensions on a Web
server.
After you select a template, your next decision is where to save your Web.
