The Taskbar and Start Menu Properties dialog box appears, with the Start
Menu tab selected (see Figure 3.11).

New look or old look?
Your first choice available is to switch between the Windows XP menu system
and the Windows 2000 menu system. Some people find the Windows XP
look a real mess; others find it useful. If you prefer the pre-XP menu struc-
ture, without a lot of distractions, you can switch between the two by clicking
the appropriate button. The mini-monitor shows you what the two will look
like. Notice also that several icons are added to the desktop with the Classic
look (see Figure 3.12) — My Documents, My Computer, My Network Places,
and Internet Explorer. These can be added to the Windows XP desktop by
using the PowerToy Tweak UI covered later in this chapter.
