When you press the Search button, a Search screen pops up along with a
small software keyboard (see Figure 1-7) so that you can enter the text to
describe what you want to search for.
The search is based on the application you’re using at the moment. If you’re
in the phone application, the Search button searches your telephone book
for a contact based on the text you enter. If you’re on the Internet, it searches
the Web. If you’re on the Start screen, it searches the whole phone.
Turn to the section “The keyboard,” later in this chapter, for more on the
ways you can enter your search terms.
Side buttons
In addition to the three buttons on the front, there are three buttons on the
side of the phone: the Power button, the Camera button, and the Volume
button.
