are not accurate except as a rough approximation of the camera JPEG. We are look-
ing for better than JPEG performance; otherwise, it’s not worth shooting RAW. In
practice, I find that relying on the LCD almost always causes you to underexpose the
shot. Of course, with a lot of experience, you can learn how overbright the image on
the LCD needs to be to arrive at the correct exposure. I personally prefer a more con-
trolled approach.
