By viewing the structure of table SKB1, you can see that the eld name BUKRS has
a check table of T001. is is the table you need to congure in this scenario. You
know you need to congure table T001 because this is where the primary key for
company code (eld name BUKRS) resides. In SAP, check tables always refer to the
primary table that the eld belongs in. If there is no check table next to the eld
name, you know that this instance of the eld is the primary key and not included
in the table via a foreign key relationship. In relational database terms, the eld
BUKRS in table T001 is the foreign key for table SKB1. Because it is the foreign
key, you know that table T001 is the table in which BUKRS (a key eld) is created
and maintained. To nd the conguration view you need to access, use transac-
tion SM31 (discussed in the preceding section). Once you have entered T001 in the
table name eld and clicked the Find Maintenance Dialog button (shown earlier in
Figure 1.6), a list of conguration views is returned.
