In the HP Quality Model, we recommend the following test
phases:
Requirements Verification
In the Requirements Verification phase, the end user adds
acceptance criteria to each requirement in order to answer the
question, “What would make me sign off on this require-
ment?” The acceptance criteria needs to:
 Validate the completeness and correctness of the
requirements.
 Associate the requirements with the business functions.
 Eliminate ambiguities.
 Validate that the result of each requirement is testable.
 Identify the business functions that are changed during
this project (maintenance projects only).
