Real - Time Communication and VoIP
Windows Embedded CE includes Real - Time Communication (RTC) and Voice over IP (VoIP)
components, which can be employed for communication using audio and text messaging in real time.
Windows Embedded CE provides an RTC Client API built on the Session Initiation Protocol (SIP),
enabling you to build CE devices to make and receive calls from any SIP client. The RTC Client API uses
the following industry standard protocols:
Session Initiation Protocol (SIP)
Session Description Protocol (SDP)
Real - Time Transport Protocol (RTP)
Public Switched Telephone Network/Internet Interworking (PINT)
