General Safety Always protect your eyes from flying feed or seed Do not put your hands or fingers near or on the dispersement mechanism once the battery is connected Always disconnect the battery when transporting the unit, or damage to the timer could occur Maintenance Battery You will start to notice a reduction in the feed dispersement pattern if your battery begins to lose its charge.
Weather Extreme cold or excessively hot weather can affect battery life. During these conditions check the battery often and replace if needed. Extreme cold weather may cause the LCD (liquid crystal display) screen to react slowly until the temperature warms up. Despite the possible slowness of the LCD, the digital timer is working properly and will go off as per the programmed.
