System ID
System ID
The following steps show how to set the System ID (sid) that appears as in all TL1 messages and is
required as the Target ID (tid) when used in TL1 commands.
1. Retrieve Current Equipment Configuration
NOTE: The following command is executed automatically when the user logs in.
RTRV-EQPT:tid:[ALL]:ctag;
Example: RTRV-EQPT:tid:ALL:ctag;
Response: tid 2002-01-05 11:21:39

2. Set System ID
SET-SID:tid::ctag::sid;
Example: Change System Equipment ID from tid to MUX-1.
SET-SID:tid::ctag::MUX-1;
Response: tid 2002-01-05 11:23:48
M ctag COMPLD

The first response following the SET-SID command will display the original tid so that
the response can be matched to the command. Subsequent commands and responses
will use the new tid.
