4. Method Editor
The Method Editor application and the List of Custom Methods box on the main menu are used to create, edit, save
and view custom methods. The Editor Options task bar will be displayed when the Method Editor application is
selected and is used to set limits prior to utilizing the Method Editor.
Editor Options
This feature includes 3 tabs to define the limits for settings available within the Method Editor:
• Formula - a list of predefined formulas which allows for entry and editing of user defined formulas. Formula
selected within this tab will be available for use within the Method Editor. Predefined methods identified by
the lock icon may not be edited or deleted.
Note: The Reset icon will delete all user-entered and saved formulas and revert to the default list.
• Units - the list of default and user-defined units that will be available for use within a custom method.
Predefined units, identified by the lock icon, may not be edited or deleted.
• Advanced - a list of pre-defined standard curve equations for advanced custom method operations.
Additional user-defined equations can be added. Predefined equations, identified by the lock icon, may not
be edited or deleted.
