TIME DISPL AY
Time Display
The scanner can display a clock when the scanner is
off ; by default this feature is disabled .
To enable or disable the time display :
1. From the Main Menu , selec t S ettings to enter the
S etting .
2. S cr oll to Clock Display then press the  /II/SEL key
to turn on or off . (Check mark will be display ed ,
indicating the clock will be on.)
3. Press the Menu key and then the  /II/SEL key t o
confirm your choic e .
NOTE: If you mount the scanner in your vehicle and
time display setting is enabled , the scanner will draw
power from the vehicle’s battery even when turned
off . We recommend that you disable the time display
function if you mount the scanner on your v ehicle .
If the internal keep-alive ba tt er ies are allowed to fully
dischar ge , the date and time will need to be set again.
If this oc curs , recharge the internal ba tt er ies using one
of the following methods .
• Plug in the AC power adapt er , then power on the
scanner for one hour .
• Or connect the scanner’s USB jack to your PC’s USB
port; leave the scanner power off . Charging Backup
Ba tt ery appears on the display . After 1 hour ,
disc onnec t both USB c onnec t ors .
NOTE: The scanner does not function on USB bus
power only .
