Mobile
Operation
By
attaching the
mounting
bracket above the
r
adio
,
you
can
mount
the radio underneath your v
ehicle’
s
dashboar
d
,
or
in
any other
mounting
location where
the
radio
will
be suspended from
abov
e
.
You may also
use
the
mounting
bracket beneath the
r
adio
,
which makes
it
possible
to mount
the radio on
top of
any
flat
surface
in
your v
ehicle
.
S

t
a
mounting
location
that
does
not in
t
er
f
er
e
with
visibility while driving
.
Use caution
to
selec
t
a
location
that will not
interfere
with the
deployment
of
your
vehicle’s air bags
.
It
is extremely
important not
t
o
mount
this
or
any
other equipment in
locations
where
deployment
of the
air bags may cause
the equipment
to be
propelled towards
the
vehicle’s
passengers
.
If
necessary, seek advice
from
your automotive dealer
or
service
shop
.
Use the
mounting
bracket
as a
template
to
mark
the
locations
for
the
two mounting
screws.
At the
marked
loca
tions
,
drill
holes
that
are slightly smaller than
the
screws. Use
caution
not to
damage
wiring
or
components
that
are
loca
t
ed
behind the
mounting
surface
.
Using
the
provided
screws and lock washers, attach the
mounting
bracket
to
your v
ehicle
.
Attach
the two
self-adhesive rubber washers
to the
inside
of the mounting
bracket sides, over
the
holes
tha
t
are used when attaching
the
bracket
to the
scanner
’
s
side
holes
.
The rubber washers help
protect the
scanner’s case
from
scr
a
t
ches
.
Slide
the
scanner
into the mounting
bracket
assembly
,
and use
the two
provided knurled knobs
to
secure
the
scanner
within the mounting br
acket
.

t
the
supplied DC power cable
to
a
power
source
in
your vehicles as
f
ollow
s:
Disc
onnec
t
the
cable
from the
negative (-)
terminal
of
your vehicle’s
battery
prior to attempting any
connections
to
your vehicle’s electrical
system.
