Understanding the Keypad
Y our scanner features a backlit keypad as shown below
in addition to the power butt on located at the front of
the remote control head .

POWER/Backlight
The POWER key is loca t ed to the bottom right of
the remote head . Press and hold for one second t o
turn the scanner on and off . Press briefly to confirm
the backlight lev el . When the backlight level appears ,
rotate rotary encoder to increase/ decrease the
backlight lev el .
MENU Key
The MENU key provides access to additional
functions r ela t ed to the current operating mode of
the scanner , and provides access to the Main Menu ,
where the main functions are c on tr olled .
SKIP Key
When pressed while the scanner is monitoring or
paused on an Objec t , the SKIP key will temporarily
disable reception on the Objec t . Pressing SKIP again
while the Objec t is selec t ed will resume normal
monit or ing . Skipped Objects can also be restored
using the R est or ed Skipped option from the Main
Menu . The SKIP key can also be programmed t o
permanently lockout an object if selec t ed in the
settings menu . When editing t e x t , pressing the SKIP
key clears all text at and to the right of the cursor .
When in Playback mode , the SKIP key stops playback
of the current r ec or ding , and when playing multiple
r ec or dings , advances to the next r ec or ding .
